Making a difference

We consider ourselves very lucky that we get to do what we love and get paid for it. But reward isn’t always monetary. Sometimes the best reward is the ability to make a difference. At Grid we take a multi-pronged approach to social responsibility, concentrating on Community, Education, Entrepreneurship and Arts and Culture.

  • Diwali – The Diwali Festival in Newtown Johannesburg is a celebration of the Hindu Festival of Lights. With some 45 000 festival goers attending in the past, it is a colourful carnival of cultural diversity.
  • Peo – Peo is a charity that focuses on putting early childhood development in South Africa on everyone’s agenda. They aim to rally NGO’s and organisations and create awareness that the future of our country and its children are interlinked.
  • Loeries scholarship - The Loeries Scholarship is designed to enable a talented student from a disadvantaged background to further their studies in communication design and to increase awareness of the creative industry as a career path.
  • Branson School – The Branson School at Cida City Campus is South Africa’s first virtually free tertiary education institution and is aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship and business skills.
  • Salvation army – The Salvation Army needs little introduction having been around for over 80 years. It provides community based care for the sick, aged, homeless and poor.
